Welcome to my webpage.<\/p>\n

I am an applied mathematician working in computer vision, imaging, and related data analysis problems. In particular, I develop algorithms aiming at relevant practical applications.  I collaborate with practitioneers, and I do analysis  to develop theoretical foundations.<\/p>\n

I studied Mathematics (with minor Computer Science) at TU M\u00fcnchen (Focus: Fourier- and Functional Analysis, Signal- and Image Processing), I did my PhD at  TU Graz at the Institute of Geometry with Johannes Wallner (Focus: Geometric Data Processing). Then I was a researcher at the Fast Algorithms for Biomedical Imaging Group at the Institute of Computational Biology at Helmholtz Center Munich (Focus: Algorithms for Processing Biomedical Data). Presently, I am professor of Mathematics at Hochschule Darmstadt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\t\n\n\t\n\t\n\t\n\t\n\t\n\t
